When I first started my business, I learned everything the hard way (read: I am eternally indebted to Google and the handful of incredible strangers – now friends – who answered my questions). I was an unapologetic novice determined not to stay so. Five years later, I’m still learning but standing on much more solid ground. As I grow and look back, though, I wish there had been a “one stop shop” for my getting started questions: How do I manage invoices? Where do I print business cards? When do I need an accountant?
Surely no such “one stop shop” exists for starting a business – there will always be industry-specific lessons learned best the hard way. But, I see such a need for an overarching guide – a list of resources for everything from accounting to marketing and everything in between. So, I made one. Enter: FORTH.
